Hi-Gear Engineering produces a range of 5 speed gearbox conversions for the following cars.
MGTC, MGTD, MGTF, MGA, MGB, MGMAGNETTE (ZA/ZB)
TRIUMPH TR2, TR3, TR4, TR4A, TR5, TR6
Each conversion kit contains all the parts necessary to adapt a Ford Sierra (type 9) 5 speed gearbox to take the MG/TRIUMPH car and engine.
Gearboxes can be supplied in standard ratio or a variety of alternative ratios to suit the vehicle and purpose. The kits require little or no vehicle modification and are reversible.
For the MG range, the gearbox can be supplied by the owner from local sources or by Hi-Gear Engineering.
For the Triumph range, the gearbox is supplied with the conversion because the special rear casing is built into the gearbox during the reconditioning process.
